Hello, I’m Carlos.

I make software
with nerve.

A pragmatic software engineer building thoughtful web products, developer tools, and performance-aware systems.

01 / SELECTED WORK

Built to be used.
Designed to be remembered.

Projects where clean engineering, practical choices, and visual character solve the same problem.

02 / POINT OF VIEW

There is no best solution, only the best compromise for the situation.

CURRENT_STATE.MD

Right tool. Clear reason.

I choose tools by tradeoff, write defensively, and design for change. Right now I’m building web products and exploring .NET architecture.

03 / THE ARCHIVE

Things I’ve sent
into the wild.

04 / LINUX JOURNEY

Five years of making
a computer feel like mine.

A very abbreviated history of broken desktops, beautiful configs, and eventual pragmatism.

01
2021

The awakening

Pop!_OS → Mint → Garuda

Left Windows, accidentally removed a desktop environment, and discovered that breaking the machine was the fastest way to understand it.

02
2021–23

The golden years

Garuda · KDE · Arch ecosystem

Two years of rolling releases, BTRFS snapshots, the AUR, and learning that the operating system could be a creative medium.

03
2024

The aesthetic

Arch · Hyprland · Rosé Pine

Built a pink, carefully composed Wayland setup and started treating configuration as product design.

04
2025

The optimization

Arch · i3 · battery life

Traded some spectacle for restraint. A lighter window manager, portable dotfiles, and a setup tuned for the work.

05
NOW

The pragmatist

CachyOS · KDE Plasma

A stable, hardware-friendly setup that lets me focus on getting real work done.

05 / OPEN CHANNEL

Bring me the idea
you can’t ignore.

I’m open to internships, collaborations, open-source work, and unusually difficult problems. If it sounds ambitious, we’ll probably get along.
